Sunrise Aviation, a flight school in Ormond Beach, Florida is approved by the Republic of Panama to train pilots from that country.

The Republic of Panama has authorized Sunrise Aviation, a flight school based in Ormond Beach, Florida, to train Panamanian pilots. Sunrise Aviation, though its affiliate company known as the International Flight Training Center, has been approved by Panama since 1999 to conduct flight training for students from Panama. As the general aviation market improves in that country and the rest of Latin and South America, Sunrise Aviation expects to enroll even more students from those regions.

Since 1999, students from various Latin and South American countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama, have enrolled at Sunrise Aviation. In many of those countries, Sunrise Aviation graduates are now flying for the airlines. In some cases, the Sunrise Aviation graduates have secured jobs in other areas of the world such as the Middle East or India where there have been shortages of experienced airline pilots. Hundreds of graduates of Central Florida's, Sunrise Aviation are working globally as pilots.

A strong demand for the purchase of both corporate and airline aircraft is indicated in growth figures recently released for Latin and South America. In the coming years, it will lead to more pilots being hired in those regions.

Ormond Beach, Florida's Sunrise Aviation has been operating out of the city's Municipal Airport since 1983. The pilot training programs got students from almost 50 countries in the recent past. Currently, students from Brazil, Saudi Arabia, India, UAE, Egypt, Yemen. Tunisia, Turkey, France and Spain are at Sunrise Aviation. Sunrise Aviation offers pilot training for future airline pilots as well as training towards individual ratings such as Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, or even the Multi-engine Rating. Sunrise Aviation is home to more Cessna 152s than any other flight schools located the state of Florida, as well as a popular choice among pilots who need to add additional flight hours to their logbook somewhere that is affordable and time efficient. Sunrise Aviation in Florida has flying instruction available everyday of the week.

The Cessna 172 SP with Garmin G-1000 and the Cirrus SR-20 with Avidyne along with glass cockpit avionics are found in the Hie-Tech advanced aircraft which are a part of the fleet of Sunrise Aviation. The fleet strength of Sunrise Aviation numbers to 43 in which four multi-engine aircrafts are also among them. Those FAA approved pilot schools,have the approval of the Department of Homeland Security, for enrolling foreign students. Not only the Republic of Panama but also the government of Ukraine has approved Sunrise Aviation to train their pilots. For foreign pilots from places such as Saudi Arabia, India and elsewhere, Sunrise Aviation has programs that are specifically designed for their needs.

The primary vendor for the Jacksonville Flight School at FSU is Sunrise Aviation. An announcement by Sunrise Aviation today stated that the FAA has approves use of the Redbird Advanced Aviation Training Devices. Florida State College at Jacksonville (otherwise know as FSCJ) gives approved FAA courses. The recent acquisition of four Redbird LD AATD's was made by Florida State College at Jacksonville was for the use of their students. Florida State College at Jacksonville located at Cecil Airport in Jacksonville uses Sunrise Aviation as the flight training contractor.
